Campus Center

The Campus Center, SUNY Oswego's first new building in 35 years, opened in October 2006.The sparkling new Campus Center is part of a larger complex including Swetman and Poucher halls as well as more than $250 million of campus-wide renewal, upgrades and updating to enhance Oswego's learner-centered environment.

The focal point of the Campus Center is a convocation center/ice arena, which hosts the Laker men's and women's varsity hockey teams, open skate for the college and community, intramural broomball, college figure skating and hockey clubs, the Oswego High School boys' hockey team and the Oswego Figure Skating Club.

The convocation center/ice arena is just one part of the Campus Center complex, which will round into shape over the next year. A grand opening for the completed Campus Center complex, including a renovated Swetman Hall, is slated for September 2007. Unveiled then will be student activities areas, a fully operational food court, retail space, meeting rooms, the Educational Planning Center, a range of offices and new auditorium space.
